Terms and Conditions for Museum Portal

Ticket Purchases by Retailers

 

1. These Terms

1.1 These terms and conditions ("Terms") apply to the use of the Portal for the purchase of Admission Tickets for resale purposes for Museum exhibitions and experiences undertaken at the Zayed National Museum, and provided by DCT (“we”, “our”, “User”, or “Museum”) to the Resellers (“you”, “your”, or “Retailer”).

 

2. Defined Terms

  • Admission Ticket(s): A valid electronic or physical ticket granting entry to the Museum for specified dates and times, subject to these Terms.
  • DCT: The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, PO Box 94000, Abu Dhabi, UAE.
  • Retailer: Any reseller authorized to purchase Admission Tickets from DCT on the Portal under these Terms.
  • Intellectual Property: Includes all intellectual property rights worldwide, including copyrights, patents, trademarks, designs, trade secrets, goodwill, and applications thereof.
  • Museum: Includes the Louvre Abu Dhabi, Zayed National Museum, Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, Natural History Museum, or any other museum in Abu Dhabi.
  • Museum Fees: Admission fees and additional service fees as published on the Museum website or ticket counters.
  • Portal: The online B2B platform provided by DCT for Retailers to purchase Products.
  • Products: Admission Tickets or other Museum-related services/items listed on the Portal.
  • UAE: United Arab Emirates.
  • VAT: Value Added Tax as applicable under UAE law.
  • Visitors: Persons to whom the Admission Tickets are allocated by the Retailer for Museum entry.

 

3. Eligibility, Access to Portal, and Registration

  • 3.1 Only DCT-recognized Retailers may register and access the Portal.
  • 3.2 DCT reserves the right to verify Retailer identity prior to granting access.
  • 3.3 Retailers must follow Portal guidelines including password resets and account updates.
  • 3.4 Use of the Portal must remain compliant with DCT’s authorization and these Terms.
  • 3.5 Retailers are responsible for maintaining confidentiality of account credentials.
  • 3.6 Retailers must revoke access for ex-employees.
  • 3.7 Security breaches or issues must be reported to DCT promptly.

 

4. Bookings and Payment

  • 4.1 Bookings must include visitor counts, guides, activities, and visit dates.
  • 4.2 Booking steps must be followed as directed on the Portal.
  • 4.3 Payment methods: Registered bank account, credit/debit card, or approved invoice.
  • 4.4 Admission Tickets are valid upon successful payment processing.
  • 4.5 UAE VAT applies where required by law.
  • 4.6 Ticket prices are subject to change. The price at the time of purchase applies.
  • 4.7 Booking confirmations are sent via email.
  • 4.8 Retailers are responsible for inputting accurate information.

 

5. Admission Ticket Issuance and Delivery

  • 5.1 Electronic tickets will be emailed upon payment confirmation.
  • 5.2 Tickets are valid only for the date, time slot, number of persons, and activity specified.
  • 5.3 Resellers may not sell tickets below Museum retail price.
  • 5.4 Tickets must be shown (printed or digital) at the Museum entrance.
  • 5.5 Visitors must retain their ticket for the entire visit. Duplicates are not issued unless approved.

 

6. Cancellations, Refunds, and Changes

 

7. Conduct and Supervision

  • 7.1 Retailers are responsible for the behavior and supervision of their Visitors, including children.
  • 7.2 The Museum reserves the right to refuse or remove disruptive individuals or groups.

 

8. Liability

  • 8.1 DCT and the Museum are not liable for indirect or incidental damages, including loss of profits or goodwill.
  • 8.2 DCT and the Museum are not liable for:
    • (a) Acts or omissions of Retailers or their Visitors.
    • (b) Third-party actions.
    • (c) Force majeure events.
    • (d) Errors or data loss from Portal use.
  • 8.3 Retailers agree to indemnify DCT and the Museum for any liabilities resulting from breach of these Terms.

 

9. Intellectual Property

  • 9.1 DCT retains all intellectual property rights. Access to the Portal does not confer any usage rights.
  • 9.2 If these Terms are terminated by DCT, Retailer Portal access will be revoked and bookings may be canceled.

 

10. Data Protection

  • 10.1 Personal data will be processed in accordance with DCT’s privacy policy and applicable laws.
  • Personal information refers to any identifiable data about an individual.

 

11. Customer Service and Complaints

  • 11.1 DCT maintains and supports the Portal.
  • 11.2 For complaints or queries, contact via the Portal case log, account manager, or call 600 56 55 66.

 

12. General Legal Terms

  • 12.1 DCT may assign or subcontract its rights without notice. Retailers may not assign rights without DCT’s approval.
  • 12.2 No agency, joint venture, or partnership is created by these Terms.
  • 12.3 These Terms supersede all prior communications and form the complete agreement.
  • 12.4 These Terms do not confer rights to third parties.
  • 12.5 If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder of the Terms remain in effect.
  • 12.6 Governing law: Laws of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and UAE federal law.
  • 12.7 Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Abu Dhabi.
  • 12.8 DCT may update these Terms at any time without notice. Updated versions are effective immediately.

 

By accessing and using the Portal, the Retailer agrees to abide by these Terms.
